Collection: Yui Ozaki Collection

Currently based in Prague, Ozaki often plays with vivid colors and combines her Japanese heritage with European sensibilities. “Chin-Chin” is an invitation to relook at societal norms and encourages viewers to embrace their inner playfulness and question the status quo. “Chin-Chin” is a Japanese slang for penis while in Europe is uttered as a toast.

In her recent wildly received art exhibition in Singapore, works with different concepts shared the common theme of using gender organs as iconic symbols. By using these symbols in her art, the artist invites viewers to consider the deeper meaning behind them and to approach them from a fresh perspective. While some adults may view the penis and vagina as obscene, the artist highlights that children often have a different perspective.
